Boston Calling will not take place in 2026, with organisers announcing a planned hiatus before the festival returns on new dates from 4th – 6th June, 2027. The shift moves the beloved Boston event away from its traditional Memorial Day Weekend slot, aiming to bring a refreshed experience in its next edition.
The news was shared in a heartfelt message to fans, thanking them for making 2025’s event a memorable celebration. “Boston Calling will take a short break in 2026 as we gear up for an exciting return,” organisers wrote, teasing developments for the 2027 instalment. Fans have been encouraged to stay tuned as more details emerge.
This year’s edition ran from 23rd – 25th May, 2025 at the Harvard Athletic Complex, with headline performances by Dave Matthews Band, Fall Out Boy, Luke Combs, Vampire Weekend, Avril Lavigne and Megan Moroney. Boston Calling has earned a strong reputation for its diverse lineups and city-centre setting, drawing thousands each year.
Launched in 2013 at City Hall Plaza, the festival transitioned to an annual, three-day format in 2016 and moved to Harvard Athletic Complex in 2017. After cancellations in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, Boston Calling rebounded with momentum—making its 2027 return one of the most anticipated yet.
