Changing Tides Festival 2025 Cancelled and Will Not Return

Organisers of Changing Tides Festival have confirmed the cancellation of the 2025 event, announcing that the festival will not be returning in future years. The news was shared with ticketholders via email, marking the end of the South Coast music festival after just two editions.

In a public statement, organisers expressed their heartbreak over the decision, which followed “careful consideration.” Despite strong support from fans, artists, and the local Kiama community, the team said they were “truly devastated” to bring the festival to a close, but grateful for the memories created over the past two years.

Originally scheduled for Saturday, 22nd November, 2025 at Kiama Showgrounds, the sold-out event was set to host a major lineup, including Sam Fender, Noah Cyrus, The Rubens, MAY-A, and more. Fender’s performance was to be a major highlight — his first appearance on the South Coast and a key stop on his long-awaited return tour to Australia.

Launched in 2023 by Simon Felice, Changing Tides was created to offer a more inclusive and coastal-centred festival experience, aiming to “change the tides” of traditional events. Despite its short lifespan, the festival quickly built a passionate following, selling out in both 2023 and 2024. Refunds for 2025 tickets will be processed automatically via Oztix within 5-7 business days.
