Empire of the Sun have unveiled the first lineup for Chrysalis, a brand-new destination festival experience taking place from 14th to 16th May, 2026 at The Sculpture Gardens at Puerto Los Cabos in San José del Cabo, Mexico. Curated as a three-day journey through sound, art, and symbolism, the festival marks a bold new chapter for the Australian duo as they create a world of immersive transformation.
The inaugural lineup features over 25 artists across three stages, including three unique performances by Empire of the Sun. Joining them are Disclosure (DJ Set), The Flaming Lips, Magdalena Bay, and indie favourite Del Water Gap. The eclectic billing continues with DJ Tennis, DJ Heartstring, Midnight Generation, Walker & Royce, Adanowsky, and Rio Kosta, offering a genre-spanning blend of electronic, indie pop, and psychedelic soundscapes.
Also announced are Peruvian electronic artist Sofia Kourtesis, atmospheric producer Aaron Hibell, and dance-rock duo Roi Turbo. With each act selected to contribute to the festival’s narrative arc, the lineup reflects the festival’s central themes of imagination, evolution, and sonic contrast—anchored in Empire of the Sun’s signature visual storytelling and worldbuilding.

Held in the sculptural, desert-meets-coast landscape of Puerto Los Cabos, Chrysalis offers a multisensory experience designed to awaken and inspire. Attendees can choose from a wide range of accommodation options, enjoy Baja-inspired cuisine, take part in wellness programming, and explore beach clubs and natural trails by day. For a deeper dive into the mythology behind Chrysalis, premium VIP packages include early access, exclusive events, and intimate experiences with frontman Luke Steele.
