Golden Plains XIX has announced its 2027 lineup, and the long-awaited Supernatural debut of Underworld is the headline moment. Karl Hyde and Rick Smith have somehow never played the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre across their entire post-Cardiff career, making their booking for the 6th–8th March, 2027 edition one of the most anticipated announcements in the festival's history. Joining them at the top of the bill is New York rock outfit Geese, who arrive fresh off their latest record Getting Killed, claiming their own first appearance on the one stage.

The 25-name lineup across Golden Plains Nineteen spans an impressive sweep of global and local talent. Tinariwen bring their tenth album Hoggar down from the Sahara, Miss Kaninna opens proceedings on 6th March with her self-produced BLACKPRINT, and Peter Garrett steps out with a new outfit, The Alter Egos, built around Midnight Oil guitarist Martin Rotsey. International arrivals include Québécois duo Angine de Poitrine on their first Australian visit, Barcelona's Maria Arnal with AMA, and the collaborative project Orcutt Shelley Miller, pairing guitarist Bill Orcutt with members of Sonic Youth and Comets on Fire.

Naarm is well represented across the bill, with daine, Intermood, Shock Corridor, Tongue Dissolver, and Station Model Violence all on the lineup. French selector Nono Gigsta takes the closing set and is making the journey to Wadawurrung Country entirely without flying, currently mid-way through a five-month-plus overland and sea route from Marseille. Storytelling With Uncle Barry Gilson returns to share Wadawurrung stories, and Aunty has indicated further names are still to come. Tickets are $549 all-inclusive, covering camping, parking, and the full weekend from 8am on 6th March.

Ticketing for Golden Plains 2027 runs through Aunty's subscriber ballot system, unchanged since the festival launched in 2007. Round two of the ballot closes at 10:19pm AEDT on 19th October, 2026, open to new subscribers and anyone who missed round one, with no cost to sign up. Those who miss the ballot can try online sales from 11am on 28th October, 2026, or hold out for Aunty's Last Golden Chance. There is no Afterpay option at the Supernatural Ticket Centre, consistent with the festival's longstanding stance against encouraging debt. No commercial sponsors, BYO for over-18s, one stage.
