Love Reggaeton Festival has been announced for Australia this November, presenting itself as the country’s first dedicated Urban and Reggaeton festival. The event is scheduled for November 28 at PICA in Melbourne and November 29 at Cockatoo Island in Sydney.
The festival is being produced by Casablanca Events, an established Australian promoter behind Latin-themed events such as Fiesta del Sol in Sydney, Vida Latin Festival in Melbourne, and St Kilda Latin Festival. This provides a level of credibility, although Love Reggaeton is a new and untested event.
Nicky Jam has been named as the first headliner. A major figure in the global reggaeton scene, he brings a strong catalogue of hits and international appeal. Organisers have also stated that fifty more artists will be announced soon, with early bird tickets currently on sale between 169 dollars and 289 dollars depending on the section.
The Sydney edition is set to include a ferry ride from Darling Harbour to Cockatoo Island, with Latin food, drinks, and entertainment promised as part of the experience.
At the time of writing, Nicky Jam has not announced the Australian dates on his official channels. There has also been no media coverage or public confirmation outside of the festival’s own platforms. Given this, prospective attendees should monitor for official updates before fully committing.
Casablanca’s track record with Latin events offers some reassurance, but the scale of this festival is ambitious. The full lineup and further confirmations will be key in determining whether Love Reggaeton Festival delivers on its promise.
