Melbourne’s premier New Year’s Day celebration Let Them Eat Cake has announced a major change for its upcoming 2026 edition. After more than a decade at the iconic Werribee Park Mansion, the boutique electronic festival will relocate to Coburg Velodrome for its 13th instalment on Thursday 1st January, 2026.
Organisers confirmed the move today, teasing a refreshed chapter for the festival while reassuring fans that the essence of LTEC remains intact. Since launching in 2016, the event has become renowned for its sleek production, carefully curated lineups and forward-thinking dancefloor energy. The new venue promises a more urban, expansive backdrop for the festival’s trademark mix of cutting-edge music and immersive experiences.
The announcement emphasised that while the setting may change, the community and spirit of Cake live on. Returning favourites are promised for the lineup alongside new faces, with organisers hinting that fans will want to keep their eyes peeled for Monday 15th September, when the full artist bill is revealed.
With Coburg Velodrome set to host its first LTEC, 2026 marks a bold evolution for one of Australia’s most stylish festivals. Fans can expect the same energy and atmosphere that has defined past editions, now reimagined in a new location for the next chapter.
