Kilby Block Party has confirmed a lineup update ahead of its 2026 return, with Nilüfer Yanya unfortunately withdrawing from the festival due to changes to her touring schedule. The three-day event is set to take place from 15th - 17th May, 2026 at the Utah State Fairpark, with organisers moving quickly to address the change as planning continues for one of the US indie calendar’s most anticipated weekends.
The festival has announced Smerz as the latest addition to the 2026 lineup, stepping in following Nilüfer Yanya’s cancellation. The Norwegian duo bring a left-of-centre electronic and experimental pop sound that fits neatly within Kilby Block Party’s genre-spanning approach. Their inclusion strengthens an already expansive bill led by Lorde, The xx, Turnstile and Hayley Williams, alongside a deep undercard of indie, alternative and emerging artists.
Nilüfer Yanya’s withdrawal affects only a portion of her upcoming tour, with Kilby Block Party among the impacted dates. While her absence will be felt, the broader lineup remains largely unchanged, continuing to feature a wide range of international acts, cult favourites and breakout performers across the weekend. Organisers have indicated that further details around daily lineups are still to come.

Single-day tickets and day-by-day artist splits are expected to be announced soon, adding another layer of anticipation ahead of May. With Smerz now confirmed and more information on the way, Kilby Block Party 2026 remains firmly on track as a standout multi-day destination for indie and alternative music fans.
