Rolling Loud Australia has officially been cancelled, with organisers confirming the Sydney and Melbourne dates scheduled for 7th - 8th March, 2026 will no longer proceed. The internationally renowned hip-hop festival was set to return in a new two-day format, marking its long-awaited comeback to Australian shores after years of postponements and uncertainty.

In a statement released today, Rolling Loud organisers attributed the cancellation to their local partner, Primuse Entertainment, citing missed critical payment deadlines and related obligations. “These ongoing delays left us without the necessary guarantees so close to the event,” the statement read. Organisers added that they would not compromise the safety or overall experience of fans, artists and vendors.

The Sydney event was due to take place at Centennial Park on 7th March, 2026, followed by Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse on 8th March, 2026. Earlier reports circulated after an alleged email to ticketholders suggested the shows had been axed, prompting Primuse Australia to acknowledge discussions were ongoing and urge fans to await official confirmation.

Rolling Loud first debuted in Australia in 2019 with a blockbuster lineup including Future, Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti, and was poised to return in 2026 with artists such as Gunna, Ken Carson, Sexyy Red and Quavo. The event also promised a dedicated local stage spotlighting Australian and New Zealand hip-hop talent, making this cancellation another significant setback for the country’s festival landscape.
