Fans planning to attend the 2025 edition of Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport have been left disappointed after organisers confirmed the event has been cancelled. The announcement was posted to the festival’s website on Friday, with all social media accounts for the event now deactivated. Originally scheduled for 27th and 28th September at Seaside Park, the festival was set to return for a second year after a successful 2024 debut.
According to the statement, the cancellation is due to “circumstances beyond our control”, with organisers C3 Presents confirming that full ticket refunds will be processed within 30 days, depending on each attendee’s financial institution. No further explanation has been provided. The city of Bridgeport also noted they were not involved in the decision and were informed only after the cancellation had already been finalised.
The stacked 2025 lineup featured The Killers and Hozier as headliners across two days, alongside major acts like Vampire Weekend, Weezer, Japanese Breakfast, Remi Wolf, Djo, and The Backseat Lovers. Rising stars including The Last Dinner Party, Rachel Chinouriri, Chelsea Cutler, and Inhaler were also billed, making the festival’s cancellation even more of a blow for fans.
Soundside had quickly become a favourite for indie and alt-rock fans along the U.S. East Coast, with its picturesque waterfront setting and strong lineups. While it's unclear whether the festival will return in future years, the sudden cancellation has sparked concerns about the event's long-term viability. Fans are encouraged to monitor their bank accounts for refunds and stay tuned for updates from C3 Presents.
