Austin City Limits Festival has announced that The Killers will headline both Sunday nights at the 2025 edition, stepping in for Doja Cat following her withdrawal. The iconic Texas festival will take place over two weekends—3rd to 5th October and 10th to 12th October, 2025—at Zilker Park in Austin.
Doja Cat was originally set to headline both Sundays but officially dropped off the lineup on 30th August. The singer explained that her upcoming album Vie, due for release on 26th September, requires her full focus, making it difficult to deliver the level of show she intended. “I cannot give you guys the show you deserve within this time frame,” she told fans via social media.
In her place, organisers have confirmed The Killers will now headline both Sunday nights. The band—known for era-defining hits like “Mr. Brightside” and “Somebody Told Me”—recently toured North America and headlined major festivals including Osheaga and Summerfest. Their ACL 2025 appearance will mark their first return to the festival since 2017.
ACL Festival 2025 already boasts an impressive lineup featuring Sabrina Carpenter, Hozier, Luke Combs, the Strokes, Cage the Elephant, and Doechii. With The Killers now anchoring both Sundays, the festival continues its tradition of balancing global superstars with genre diversity and local flair.
