Indie rock icons Yo La Tengo have officially joined the lineup for Dromfest 2025, headlining the festival’s Saturday night programme on 30th August. The three-day event, hosted by Dromedary Records, returns to The Avalon Lounge in Catskill, New York from 29th to 31st August with a stacked bill of cult favourites and long-awaited reunions.
Now in its third year, Dromfest continues to honour the legacy and future of independent music, with headliners confirmed as Sunburned Hand of the Man (Friday), Yo La Tengo (Saturday), and Das Damen (Sunday). Other notable acts performing across the weekend include Madder Rose, Rebecca Gates, Phantom Tollbooth, Scrawl, and Mark Robinson of Unrest.
This year’s edition also welcomes rare appearances by Homestead Records veterans Phantom Tollbooth and The Dambuilders—who will play their first show since 1997 with a special lineup featuring members of Luna and Fugazi. Beth Kaplan of Salem 66 will also return to the stage, having only played one other show in decades.
With a weekend of performances, poetry readings, and a screening of Chris Wilcha’s Flipside documentary, Dromfest 2025 is shaping up to be a celebration of underground culture and indie rock history. Tickets are on sale now, with single-day, weekend, and VIP passes available.
