One of Japan’s most beloved and internationally recognised music festivals, Fuji Rock Festival, has officially confirmed its 2026 dates. The iconic event will once again return to the picturesque Naeba Ski Resort in Yuzawa, Niigata from 24th to 26th July, 2026. The legendary Fuji Rock Festival has just unveiled the first wave of artists for its 2025 edition, set to take place from July 25-27 at the stunning Naeba Ski Resort in Yuzawa, Japan. Known for its eclectic mix of international and Japanese talent, this year’s lineup is shaping up to be another unforgettable weekend of music in the mountains.

Headlining the first announcement are Fred Again.., Vampire Weekend, Vulfpeck, HAIM, Four Tet, and Suchmos, marking their return to the stage after a long hiatus. Japanese music legends Tatsuro Yamashita, Radwimps, and Ego-Wrappin’ are also set to bring their signature sounds to the festival.

Other exciting additions include the energetic garage rock of The Hives, the electronic mastery of James Blake and Tycho, jazz-funk innovators Ezra Collective, and rising stars like Barry Can’t Swim, Faye Webster, and Confidence Man.

Fred Again.., Vampire Weekend, and HAIM lead the first wave of artists set to perform at Japan's iconic mountain festival.

The Fuji Rock Festival, one of Japan's most celebrated music events, has announced that SZA will no longer be performing at the 2024 edition. SZA was originally scheduled to perform on Friday, July 26th, at the Naeba Ski Resort in Yuzawa. This news comes as a significant disappointment to fans who were eagerly anticipating her performance.

In an official statement, the festival organisers expressed their deep apologies to those who were looking forward to SZA's performance. Despite the cancellation, they confirmed that ticket refunds will not be issued due to this change. "We deeply regret this situation and hope for your continued support of Fuji Rock Festival ’24," the statement read.

While SZA’s withdrawal is a notable loss, the festival still boasts a robust and diverse lineup. Headliners include iconic electronic music pioneers Kraftwerk, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, and American hardcore band Turnstile. Additionally, the festival will feature performances by Peggy Gou, Floating Points, Omar Apollo, Remi Wolf, Raye, The Last Dinner Party, Oliver Tree, and many more.
