Rolling Sets 2026 has arrived in a big way, with the triple j and Rip Curl-presented coastal festival announcing a landmark expansion to two stunning NSW locations this summer. Fresh off a sold-out debut in Tweed Heads last year, the beloved boutique event will now call both Ebenezer Park at Duranbah Beach and Newcastle's iconic Foreshore Park home, with dates set for Saturday 28th November and Saturday 5th December respectively. Festival Director Matt Wise says the move to Newcastle was driven by growth, noting the new venue's increased capacity, transport links and accommodation options while preserving the laid-back waterfront atmosphere the festival is known for.

Headlining the 2026 lineup are alt-rock heavyweights Ocean Alley, riding high on the success of their acclaimed album Love Balloon and appearing in a rare NSW and Queensland festival exclusive. Joining them at the top of the bill are Royel Otis, whose breakout international run included Coachella appearances, along with G Flip, fresh from the viral success of Bed On Fire, and the long-awaited festival return of Violent Soho. The lineup also features The Rions, Old Mervs, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, The Belair Lip Bombs, Evening Elephants and many more across both sites.

Beyond the main stage, the Need2Freak stage brings a curated electronic and DJ programme featuring Bushbaby, Fritter and Wongo, Anika, Elijah Something, Ryan Maloney and DJ Macaroni. Rolling Sets is also levelling up its skate and lifestyle offerings in 2026, introducing a dedicated athlete zone as part of its expanding surf, skate and beach culture footprint. Ticketing is again handled by Humanitix, with 100% of booking fee profits directed to charities supporting disadvantaged children through education and healthcare initiatives.

Rolling Sets 2026 will bring Ocean Alley, Royel Otis, G Flip and Violent Soho to two iconic NSW coastal venues across November and December.

Dreamstate Australia has delivered its biggest announcement yet, confirming that global trance icon Tiësto will perform an exclusive trance set at the 2027 edition of the festival. The performance marks a rare and significant return to the genre that first brought the Dutch DJ and producer to international prominence, long before GRAMMY Awards, stadium tours, and crossover chart success defined his later career.

Tiësto will headline Dreamstate Australia across two massive shows in February 2027, touching down at Sydney Showground on Saturday 6th February and Melbourne's Flemington Racecourse on Sunday 7th February. Presented exclusively by Dreamstate Australia, the performances are being celebrated as some of the most anticipated trance events the country has seen in recent memory, arriving on the back of the festival's record-breaking 2026 run.

Now firmly established as Australia's premier trance, techno, and hard techno destination, Dreamstate Australia promises its most ambitious production to date for 2027, with large-scale staging, world-class laser shows, and a lineup spanning multiple generations of electronic music. Pre-sale registration is currently open, with pre-sale tickets going on sale at 12pm AEST on Thursday 18th June, followed by general on-sale at 12pm AEST on Friday 19th June.

The Dutch electronic music icon will perform an exclusive trance set across two Dreamstate Australia shows in February 2027.

Insomniac, in partnership with Colombian promoter Páramo Presenta, has unveiled the full debut lineup for EDC Colombia, set to make its historic first appearance at Medellín's Unidad Deportiva Atanasio Girardot on Saturday, 10th and Sunday, 11th October, 2026. The announcement confirms over 80 artists across what promises to be one of the most significant new festival launches in South American dance music history.

The lineup spans the full spectrum of electronic music, with global headliners including Alesso, Deadmau5, Illenium, Kaskade, Armin van Buuren, and Afrojack B2B Green Velvet leading the charge. Techno devotees are well catered for with 999999999, Boris Brejcha, ARTBAT, Richie Hawtin, and Restricted on the bill, while the trance and psytrance contingent features Above & Beyond, Cosmic Gate, Infected Mushroom, Astrix, and Vini Vici. House and tech-house fans can look forward to sets from Armand Van Helden, LP Giobbi, HoneyLuv, Pachanga Boys, Jamie Jones, and Maceo Plex, among many others.

EDC Colombia 2026 will feature the signature Electric Daisy Carnival stages: kineticFIELD, circuitGROUNDS, neonGARDEN, bionicJUNGLE, and stereoBLOOM, alongside curated takeovers from Insomniac imprints Factory 93, Dreamstate, and the legendary German event series Time Warp. Colombian and Latin American artists including Vintage Culture, Augusto Yepes, Diossa, Matta B2B Gabo Forero, and Memek B2B Julio Garcés also feature prominently, grounding the international bill with strong local representation.

The debut edition of EDC Colombia arrives at Medellín's Unidad Deportiva Atanasio Girardot across the 10th and 11th October, 2026 holiday weekend.

EXIT Festival is making a bold move in 2026, launching EXIT 2 Montenegro as part of its EXIT Festival World Tour 2026, a pair of free-to-attend beach festivals spread across two of the Adriatic coast's most stunning locations. The Long Beach Edition runs from 3rd–6th July at Velika Plaža in Ulcinj, one of Europe's longest sandy beaches at 13 kilometres, while the Sea Dance Edition takes over Bečići Beach in Budva from 28th–31st August. Both events require only prior registration for free entry, with warm-up programmes beginning as early as 1st July and 24th August respectively.

The July edition in Ulcinj is headlined by Argy, Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex, Monolink performing a hybrid set, and Stephan Bodzin live, alongside Awen, Space Motion, Deer Jade, Lanna and a deep roster of further acts. Operating under the tagline "No LED, no SFX, no BS, just music, sunsets and sea," the Long Beach Edition strips electronic music back to its essentials, prioritising the natural coastal landscape over production spectacle and taking deliberate care to protect the area's largely undeveloped Mediterranean ecosystem.

August's Sea Dance Edition in Budva delivers a headline trio of Charlotte de Witte, Peggy Gou and Hugel, joined by Enrico Sangiuliano, RPR Soundsystem comprising Rhadoo, Petre Inspirescu and Raresh, and John Newman debuting an exclusive new live show. Both festivals draw heavily from the acclaimed Dance Arena legacy of EXIT Festival, widely considered one of the world's premier electronic music dancefloors, extending that tradition to Montenegro's coastline as part of EXIT's World Tour 2026.

The economic scope of EXIT 2 Montenegro is considerable, with Montenegro's Prime Minister Milojko Spajić projecting more than 210,000 overnight stays and over €40 million in tourism revenue generated across the summer. Designed to extend the country's tourism season and cement its standing as a serious destination for global music fans, EXIT 2 Montenegro represents one of the most ambitious free festival offerings announced anywhere in Europe this year. Insomniac Events and Future Vibes Co., Ltd. have unveiled the artist lineup for EDC Thailand 2026, returning to Rhythm Park, Laguna Phuket across three nights on 18th, 19th, and 20th December, 2026. Now in its third edition, the festival arrives as the closing chapter of EDC's global 30th Anniversary celebrations, making it the most anticipated edition yet for dance music fans across Southeast Asia and beyond.

The lineup is a genuine statement of scale and range, headlined by Martin Garrix, Charlotte de Witte, DJ Snake, Dom Dolla, Tiësto, Above and Beyond, Andy C, Green Velvet B2B Steve Angello, Vintage Culture, CamelPhat, Jamie Jones, Subtronics, Loco Dice, Odd Mob, Paul Van Dyk, and many more across six purpose-built stages. Those stages include the iconic kineticFIELD, the bass-heavy circuitGROUNDS, Factory 93-hosted neonGARDEN, the eclectic stereoBLOOM, lush bionicJUNGLE, and BOOMBOX, a dedicated platform spotlighting emerging Southeast Asian talent.

Stage takeovers add another layer of programming depth, with Bassrush Experience taking circuitGROUNDS on Friday, and stereoBLOOM hosting Insomniac Records on Friday, Dreamstate on Saturday, and Basscon on Sunday. Off-site, Hotel EDC Thailand returns at Angsana Laguna Phuket, and the newly expanded EDC Thailand Phuket Takeover Week will animate venues island-wide with official pre-parties, beach events, and after-parties throughout the week.
