Byron Bay Bluesfest organisers have announced the sudden cancellation of Bluesfest 2026, just weeks before the iconic Australian festival was due to take place in Byron Bay. The event had been scheduled to run from 2nd - 5th April, 2026 at Byron Events Farm but will no longer proceed after organisers confirmed the company behind the festival has entered liquidation.

In a statement shared online, organisers said the decision came after rising production, logistics, insurance and touring costs made it impossible to deliver the festival at the standard expected by fans. Festival director Peter Noble described the decision as “incredibly difficult”, reflecting on Bluesfest’s 36-year history as one of Australia’s most awarded and recognisable music festivals.

The 2026 edition had been expected to attract tens of thousands of fans across the Easter long weekend, with artists including Split Enz, Parkway Drive, Sublime, The Pogues and Counting Crows scheduled to perform. Liquidator Jason Bettles of Worrells has been appointed to manage the festival’s finances, with reports showing Bluesfest Enterprises owes around $5.7 million to creditors. The sudden cancellation adds to growing concerns about the sustainability of major music festivals across Australia’s live events industry.

Byron Bay Bluesfest 2026, scheduled for 2nd - 5th April at Byron Events Farm, has been scrapped following financial difficulties.

Lollapalooza Berlin has revealed the daily lineup breakdown for its 2026 edition, offering fans a closer look at how the two-day festival will unfold at Olympiastadion and Olympiapark in Berlin. The event is set to return on 18th - 19th July, 2026 with a wide-ranging lineup spanning pop, rock, hip-hop and electronic music.

Saturday 18th July will feature performances from Pitbull, Ayliva, Lily Allen performing West End Girl, Zara Larsson and Tom Odell. The day will also include sets from Artbat, Makko, Young Miko, Korolova and Atarashii Gakko!, alongside artists such as James Marriott, Nieve Ella, Lovefoxy and Balu Brigada.

Sunday 19th July will be led by Lewis Capaldi, Lorde and Teddy Swims, with additional performances from Anitta and Zartmann. The second day’s lineup also includes Boys Noize, Noga Erez, Self Esteem and Funk Tribu, alongside rising acts including Alessi Rose, Sofia Camara and The Snuts.

The debut lineup for Breakaway NYC brings together international electronic talent and emerging acts for a major summer event in Brooklyn, New York.

We Belong Here has unveiled the lineup for its first-ever multi-stage festival in New York, confirming a major electronic music gathering at the Brooklyn Army Terminal waterfront from 19th - 21st June, 2026. The event will transform the Sunset Park location into a dance-focused festival space, with its signature 360 stage positioned against sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline.

Leading the lineup is Kx5, the celebrated collaboration between Kaskade and deadmau5, who will make their New York debut as a duo when they open the festival on Friday night. The program continues with performances from Oliver Heldens, Eli & Fur, Gioli & Assia, Shermanology, Wax Motif, Emmy Adelle, Luke Alexander and Stello b2b Coastlines, alongside a special Lane 8 b2b Sultan + Shepard set representing the melodic house sound of the This Never Happened family.

Saturday’s program will see UK techno favourite Eli Brown bring high-energy selections to the 360 stage, while Sunday will close with legendary trance trio Above & Beyond, marking their first-ever We Belong Here appearance. The carefully curated lineup reflects the festival’s blend of globally recognised artists and melodic electronic acts suited to its immersive, dancefloor-focused format.
