Dutch trance icon Armin van Buuren has been revealed as the first artist confirmed for Hypersonic 2025. The newly-launched multi-genre festival will take place over two days this summer—landing at Sydney Showground on 29th November and Melbourne Showgrounds on 30th November.

One of the world’s most celebrated DJs and producers, Armin van Buuren brings with him decades of experience and a global following. Known for marathon sets, euphoric drops and his iconic A State of Trance brand, his inclusion signals Hypersonic's intent to deliver a world-class festival experience. Fans can expect a high-energy performance packed with classic anthems and cutting-edge trance.

Organisers have teased a multi-stage format and a major lineup reveal still to come, promising one of the biggest genre-spanning drops of the year. Pre-purchase access is now available ahead of the presale, which goes live at 12pm on Thursday, 21st August. General on sale begins at 12pm on Friday, 22nd August. With Armin van Buuren leading the charge, Hypersonic 2025 is already shaping up to be one of the season’s most anticipated debut events.
